full-range speaker meaning

A two-way speaker has two speakers, a subwoofer and a tweeter. The subwoofer and tweeter are separated by a crossover and connected to the subwoofer and tweeter respectively.
Matching Skills of Line Array Speakers and Power Amplifiers
In professional audio systems, only reasonable and accurate matching can make better sound reinforcement effects, especially for line array speakers. The matching of power amplifiers is very important. Today, Ding Taifeng Audio will share with you how to configure power amplifiers for line array speakers.
1. Impedance must match
Impedance matching means that the rated output impedance of the power amplifier should be consistent with the rated impedance of the line array speaker. The output impedance of conventional power amplifiers generally supports 8Ω and 4Ω, and some power amplifiers support 2Ω. The output impedance of line array speakers generally varies from 16Ω to 8Ω. If two line array speakers are used in parallel to connect to one channel, the impedance of the line array speaker will be 16Ω. It becomes 8Ω, and so on. Therefore, the output impedance of the line array speaker and the number of parallel connections must match the output impedance of the power amplifier.
Second, the power must match
The specific standard for power amplifier and line array speaker power allocation is that under certain impedance conditions, the rated power of the power amplifier should be greater than the rated power of the line array speaker, and the rated power of the power amplifier in the conference sound reinforcement venue should be 1.2-1.5 times the rated power of the line array speaker. The rated power should be 1.5-2 times of the rated power of the line array speaker when the dynamic effect is large. Refer to this standard for configuration, which can not only ensure that the power amplifier works under the best conditions, but also ensure the safety of the line array speakers.
3. The connection line between the power amplifier and the line array speaker must match
The speaker cable should be as short as possible according to the rated power of the line array speaker, and the thicker copper special speaker cable must be carefully identified when connecting. The plug of the line array speaker is generally professional four-core or four-core The speaker plugs above the core have very small binding posts, so be careful when wiring.
